Kwame Pitts, M.Div, STM

Kwame has found herself immersed in justice movements surrounding transformative and revolutionary change. Her name is a dedication to a collective ancestor, Kwame NKrumah, first president of Ghana. It is also a reminder to her of the responsibility and the accountability she has towards her Ancestors which she holds in high stead, and to the journey of multiple faith belonging that she finds herself immersed.

 

.During her first years in an ordained clergy role, she continued her academic and theological journey at the Chicago Theological Seminary with a Master of Sacred Theology, receiving her degree in Spring 2021. The title of her thesis was “The Oppression of Syncretism: THE ERASURE OF OUR RELIGIOUS HISTORY AND THE VALIDITY OF THESE TRADITIONS TO ADDRESS HISTORICAL AND GENERATIONAL TRAUMA DUE TO RACISM AND OPPRESSION.”

Because of her work with her thesis and the focus also on spiritual not religious belonging, she also established Oasis Community. ter

Sharei Green is pursuing a Masters of Divinity as a seminarian at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Sharei has a strong commitment to community healing and sabbath, especially in BIPOC communitieS.

The rev. abby mohaupt is the Director of Education and Training for GreenFaith and a Presbyterian Church (USA) minister. She is based in Chicago, IL.

Christina Marthield Montgomery is a self-described Black Disabled Fat Femme Lesbian Woman who is an End-of-Life Doula and the pastor of First Lutheran Church of the Trinity in the Bridgeport neighborhood of Chicago. She received her MDiv in May 2021 from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). She lives in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago overlooking Lake Michigan with her wife Danielle and Danielle’s son, Ezekiel.

Pastor Lourdes "Lou" Olson was born and raised in the South Bronx, NYC, and has resided in Las Vegas for almost twenty years. She earned a BA in Ministry and Leadership from Life Pacific College in California, and a Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in Minnesota. She completed her pastoral internship at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Las Vegas. With a background in vocal performance, Pastor Lou has led music in various ministry settings, and is also passionate about sharing the Word of God through worship, prayer, and preaching. Their ecumenical history brings a broad and unique perspective to their ministry. She is fluent in Spanish and English, with a little bit of French, and enjoys good books, dancing, and getting to know people from all walks of life.
